Istanbul Fellowship Participants Announced



The participants of the 4th Istanbul Fellowship Program, which will bring together publishers around the world in February, have been announced. Applications of 200 publishers from 72 countries were accepted by the Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright and Licencing Association Evaluation Committee which carried out the evaluation in December.

Participants of this year's Istanbul Fellowship Program, which will be organized for the fourth time this year and bring the publishing world together, have been announced. Among the 575 applications from 103 countries, 200 applications from 72 countries were accepted. The publishing houses to attend the program from abroad have been classified under Gold, Silver and Bronze support packages, which provide varying opportunities for the participants. While the Bronze package includes free ticket to the dinners, seminars and business meetings within the framework of the organization, the Silver Package also includes a 4-day hotel accommodation. The Gold Package, on the other hand, also includes a return flight to Istanbul in addition to the opportunities listed above.

The applications for the program were reviewed by the Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright and Licencing Association Evaluation Committee according to their suitability for the program. As a result of the evaluation, 75 people from 56 countries were granted a Gold Package. 75 people from countries were granted a Silver Package. 85 domestic publishers and agencies were chosen among the 134 applications for the program.

A BRIDGE OF PUBLICATION FROM FAR EAST TO LATIN AMERICA
As in previous years, the program attracted highest attention in Asia and Latin America. Indonesia was the first country in number of applications to the program followed by India, Brazil and Italy. The number of participants from the USA also increased this year, moving the country up in the list of countries with highest number of participants.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO DEVISE THEIR OWN SCHEDULES
The participants of the Fellowship Program will have a chance to devise their own appointment schedule through using the online appointment system on https://www.fellowship.istanbul/, the official website of the organization. The online appointment system, which allows the users to access a list of all the participants, to view the profile information of participants and arrange their own meetings will remain open until the end of the program.

A team of interpreters and organizers will help the participants throughput the program with their business meetings and hotel accommodations. Additionally, a shuttle service will be provided to participants for their travels between the meeting place and their hotels.

ISTANBUL TO BE THE HUB OF THE PUBLISHING WORLD FOR THREE DAYS
The program has already generated widespread attention in the publishing world and it is going to bring together publishers from Far East to Latin America in Istanbul to conduct copyright and translation negotiations.

Domestic participants of the event will have a chance to attend the dinners, seminars and business meetings within the scope of the program free of charge. A translation support will also be provided to the domestic participants.

Publishing house managers, editors, copyright agencies, representatives from publishing professional organizations and publishing nongovernmental organizations will come together in Istanbul Fellowship Program, which will be held on 26-27-28 February in Avrasya Center for Performing Arts.
