Online Applications Start for the 6th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Program
Bringing together publishers from around the world every year, İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Program (International İstanbul Professional Publishers’ Meeting) gets ready for this year’s event with a few changes.
Preparations are already underway for the 6th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Program, which will be organized on a mixed basis featuring both face-to-face and online activities due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Program is organized by Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright and Licencing Society with the support of The Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Publishers Association, İstanbul Governorate and İstanbul Chamber of Commerce also contribute to the event. This year’s meetings will cover a wide range of topics including “The latest developments in the publishing world”, “The publication sector in times of pandemic”, “Digital publishing”, “Online book selling models”, “Dissemination of Turkish literature around the world”, “New copyrights in world literature and their resonance in international markets”, “Online experiences of the cancelled book fairs”.
The Program Will Take Place on 9-10-11 March 2020 in İstanbul
Online applications for the 6th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Program started on October 26, 2020, under the supervision of the Coordination Board.
The deadline for applications is December 25, 2020. This year, the program expects applications from more than 100 countries around the globe.
The program will take place on 9-10-11 March 2020 in Istanbul with a mixture of online and face-to-face events.
“Istanbul Publishing Fellowship Awards” Will Make Its Debut
This year’s event will witness the first ever “İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Awards” to influential individuals and institutions in the publishing world.
Another novelty to be introduced with the 6th İstanbul Publishing Fellowship Program is the focus country studies, details of which will be announced in the coming days.
